Women In Sales Initiative
HEINEKEN is on a path to a fair, inclusive and equitable company and world. We believe that embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) enriches our lives and strengthen our business, fostering a sense of true togetherness. Our Global DEI strategy has three pillars, focusing on courageous leadership, inclusive environment and equal opportunities.
Women in Sales is one of our global initiatives that aims to level the playing field for women in leadership. We have an ambition in having 40% female senior management by 2030, and culturally diverse country leadership teams. All managers will complete inclusive leadership training by 2023 and we are driving equal pay for equal work between female and male colleagues.
DE&I monthly e-booklets
We have designed and distributed monthly DE&I e-booklets that we send to all colleagues across the business. We are focusing on a different topic every month to shine the light on a particular subject to generally raise awareness and help educate our workforce. They are designed to be short but informative, so easily digestible to the reader if they have time constraints. We have had great feedback to date, having sent out an Intro booklet on our plans and then Topic 1 - Terminology, and Topic 2 - Culture Awareness. We plan next month to be Neurodiversity with other months to include Allyship, Microaggressions and the Menopause to name a few. This is continuing our DE&I roadmap for 2023 by helping us all be that little bit more informed.
It Stops With Me
Surveys show that a large number of people in our industry have experienced harassment or discrimination. To tackle this issue, AB InBev launched “It Stops With Me”, an internal and industry-wide campaign being rolled out across Zone Europe asking people to commit to calling out harassment and discrimination. Starting with our business in the United Kingdom and Ireland, we will be also adding a clause that will allow the termination of contracts with customers who fail to address the issue. BBPA: Our Pubs and Breweries are #OpenToAll
The British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA) are committed to embedding diversity and inclusion across the brewing and pub sector.
From producing guidance and practical tips to celebrating the successes of our members, we are supporting members in their role providing safe, inclusive spaces for customers and team members.
We are developing a series of events throughout 2023 to support BBPA members and the wider industry to embed diversity and inclusion across their organisations. Other resources we currently have available include:
• Open To All Charter – a set of commitments for the organisations within the sector to sign up to in order to enact real, long-term change on diversity and inclusion.
• Open To All Toolkit – the toolkit provides practical guidance and advice for BBPA members to deliver on the commitments made in the Open To All Charter.
